I’m a huge believer in sweetheart sessions before couples are actually engaged. Dating is such a fun adventure, worthy of being documented, so when Amanda contacted me about a session for her and Jarrod, you can imagine how excited I was!
Amanda and Jarrod met at St. Dominic High School (which is how I know them) and have been dating for over 2 years. They did the long-distance thing in the fall while Jarrod was at Mizzou and Amanda stayed home at SCC. This January Amanda transferred to Mizzou, said adios to the long-distance, and now lives close to Jarrod while studying early childhood education.
This past Friday I drove up for their session at the Shelter Gardens in Columbia. This was their second shoot with me, so I already knew it would be awesome. Jarrod and Amanda are the most joyful and carefree couple you’ll ever meet and that totally shines through in their images. There wasn’t even a second where Amanda wasn’t laughing and photographing them feels more like hanging out with friends than working. I am so thankful for amazing couples like Amanda and Jarrod and I feel so lucky to have them as friends. 🙂
